Power Utility: a button to restart, Respring and enter safe mode (Cydia)

power utility

After yesterday's big news where we found out that there may already be a jailbreak prepared for iOS 7 by P0sixninja, we continue with the Cydia news of each day. Today we will show you a simple Cydia application that has been in the store for a few weeks now.

Is called power utility y will add an icon to your Springboard from where you can Restart your iPhone, make a respring or enter Safe Mode. Something very useful if instead of SBSettings you have NCSettings installed, which no longer includes some of those options by default. Sometimes doing a respring is necessary, and if we do not have any modification that allows it, we will have to completely restart the iPhone.

If you want to enter Safe Mode (Safe mode) is the same case, you can do it without any modification, but you will have to turn off your iPhone and turn it on again by pressing and holding the Volume increase button; with this tweak you can do it without restarting. Entering Safe Mode is used to access Cydia and delete a modification that is causing us problems and even that prevents us from using the device normally.

This is one of those modifications that they are not essential But that ever the case of needing them arises and if you don't have it, it will take longer to turn off and on your phone to do the same. It is added as an icon to your Sprinboard, it does not add options or settings. To deactivate it you will have to go to Cydia, search for it, press modify and select the delete option.

You can download it free In Cydia, you will find it in the BigBoss repo. You need to have done the jailbreak on your device.

More information - P0sixninja will save his jailbreak for iOS 7 or 7.1

NCSettings does have these options, except for Safe Mode.
