When they introduced the iPhone 7 Plus and told us about its dual camera, I confess that I was disappointed that they did not talk about more uses for said dual lens camera. As in human eyesight, having two lenses can make images three-dimensional, and I think that absence was one of the reasons for my disappointment. But if Apple doesn't do something, the developers can step up, as they have done. Pro Cam 4 in its last update.
ProCam 4 is the fourth installment of one of the best camera apps on the App Store. It has a lot of options, such as taking the photo when our hand is still, timer and exposure control, etc., and today it has been updated with a new option: take 3D photos, something that, logically, we can only do if we have the latest 5.5-inch iPhone and its double camera.
What's New in ProCam 4 (8.5)
- New 3D photo shooting mode on iPhone 7 Plus. 3D Photo mode takes advantage of both iPhone 7 Plus cameras to produce stunning 3D photos at the highest resolution.
- Now enables Exposure Bracketing (AEB) in RAW.
- Embedding of a full resolution JPEG in the RAW image can now be disabled.

With regard to 3D photos, it must be taken into account that the secondary camera is not as good as the main one, that is, although both are 12Mpx, one has an aperture of ƒ / 1,8 and the other has an aperture of ƒ / 2,8, which means that the second one cannot capture as much light and that in low light conditions it does not obtain as good results. With that explained, the "stunning 3D photos" promised by the latest version of ProCam 4 would only be a reality in broad daylight.
In any case, New uses for the dual camera are already appearing iPhone 7 Plus in the App Store. I personally thought that Apple wouldn't allow it until the 2017 iPhone launch, but it seems like I was wrong. The show has started.
