Since its arrival in 2007, the iOS has been a one-window operating system at a time, apps always run in full screen, even when the iPad launched the largest device to date, the iPad Pro. Since then, we've seen the introduction of multi-tasking split screen with iOS 9, and that is the closest it gets. we have come to see similar to a window management.
The iPad window management issue, in particular, is a quality that has been improving for quite some time, and developer Steve Troughton-Smith has taken matters into his own hands by showing a video of the proof of concept of what he calls iOS window management. It looks a bit like a screen with some Mac OS X applications running on an iPad emulator for our liking, but this new feature would certainly prove very popular with a certain subset of people.
Even with the new giant screen iPad Pro, we have not seen that Apple is going to make any modification in the line of traditional window management as this concept shows, with the modifications of iOS 9 with the split screen could largely compensate for the multitasking of the iOS that will be done in the coming years.
Having multiple windows open on a screen and then having to move and resize on the fly is not suitable for a touch screen is what many experts say, even if you use an Apple Pencil. These experts say that they prefer to continue working the screen like an iPad rather than a Mac.
You can see Steve Troughton-Smith's video concept for yourself below and make your own judgments.
