Put emoticons on your iphone

Well let's see how to get the emoticons that Apple released only for the Japanese on any iPhone without having to be in Japan.

  1. Open Cydia and install the Emoji package you can find it in the Tweak section or by typing Emoji directly in the search engine.
  2. Once installed we have to go to General> Keyboard> International keyboards> Japanese and enable Emoji Icons.
  3. Now you just have to open the notes, the mail or whatever you want, click on the icon that looks like the earth and select the icon you want.

at least for SMS it is totally useless, blank spaces / nothing arrives 🙁 (I don't know another iphone with 2.2)

If I send me an email with the icons on the iPhone I see them, but not on the MacBook or on the Mobile Me website…. I have not tried sending a text message yet

Come on, totally useless. Surely it only works for the shipment in other iPhones with 2.2. This happens in Nokia, some have emoticons with shortcuts similar to msn, but they are only seen in those that interpret those shortcuts into icons. The iPhone should send them like this.

If I could install it but when sending it to another mobile different to the iphone they do not see them, only the symbols appear, eg. ,? ! etc.

I tried it in 3.1 and they work, but the compatible ones also work but you must type the example letters 🙂
