There are many applications that we have in the App Store to turn the iPhone into a remote control, but most of them require a fairly large accessory (or a special case) that is usually connected to the data port.
RedEye Mini has the great advantage that it leaves us free the data port, and failing that it uses the audio jack that can give so much play and that so little is expressed (see Square). In this jack we will place a small device that will send the infrared rays to our receiving devices, using an application with support for an accelerometer.
Of course, the development of a device like this is not very cheap to say, so we have to pay $ 50 for it. For my part, I think I will continue with my remote control forever ...
