Reminder: create a custom firmware 5.0.1 with your SHSH to keep your jailbreak untethered forever

With these two tutorials you can create a custom firmware iOS 5.0.1 that already has your SHSH integrated, what for?

With it you can secure the untethered jailbreak forever, If Apple releases iOS 5.1, it will stop signing iOS 5.0.1, and you will not be able to install it unless you have your SHSH on the Cydia server, the best option is to create a custom firmware with the SHSH already integrated and save it, you can always use it to install iOS 5.0.1 whatever version Apple signs.

You need:

NOTE: : It does not work for iPhone 4S or iPad 2 because there is no hardware exploit for them.

The first tutorial is to do it with Sn0wbreeze, only for Windows.

The second is to do it with Redsn0w, both on Mac and Windows.

the shsh has to be the request to cydia or is it valid with the request to apple?

Well the other day I used it to restore the iPhone and it gave me an error, I was left with the drawing of plugging it into iTunes, in the end I finished doing it normal… .why can it be? at the beginning it gave error 1640 but when removing the tinyumbrella thing, it also gave an error although it no longer put anything

I get exhausted memory when starting the process… what can I do ???

    Thank you

what difference is there between saving SHSH with tinyumbrella without using redsnow / snowbreeze afterwards and using them?
With the SHSH saved from tinyumbrella, could I put my 5.0.1 in case I mistakenly update to 5.1 or is it necessary to do the video process with redsnow?

Imagine that something happens with such bad luck as that the shsh of the saurik servers are lost due to attacks or because something breaks ...

    Hi Gonzalo!

My question is if the firmware that it creates does not raise the band in case it is lower than 5.0.1?

  10.   watchtower said

    Hi Gonzalo!
The firmware that is created uploads the band.
    regards

gonzalo, when I go to local and select the shsh it tells me that the blobs could not be verified, what did I do wrong? thanks and regards.

Hello GNZL. Is there a way that I can download the video to save it on my PC? Thanks.

    1.    gnzl said

no, that is one of the reasons for uploading them to this platform, we really have a lot of problems with the copy of the posts, in some we get to 20 and 30 exact copies and no source.
      .
But do not worry that they will be available, you can bookmark the link to the video for example and watch it whenever you want.

hi i'm from japan and i recently went to change my ipad 1 to apple.
What happened to me that they gave me a new ipad with version 4.3.5 I wanted to save the shsh but I couldn't if I uploaded it to 5.0.1 at once and it seems that it was worse because I can't save anything at all
nothing comes out in cydia. Do you know what happens with this problem? I hope you can help and thank you in advance

First of all, thanks for this great tutorial. My question is the following, what is the difference between following the redsnow method or the snowbreeze method?

Right now I already have the signed firmware saved. I have done it with redsnow. But I understand that the snowbreeze was to create a firmware that maintains the baseband and that it already comes with the jailbreak done ... is this still the case? I am interested in saving that of a friend who has it released with ultrasnow.

    Thanks a lot. Greetings 😉

When in redsnoe I select the SHSH, it tells me that they could not be verified

  17.   Christian said

How can I do this but without raising the baseband, does anyone know ???

  18.   jmolivaj said

@GNZL Do you have the solution to the problem when we select the SHSH and it says that the blobs could not be verified? Thanks.

    1.    gnzl said

Solution for the error "The blobs could not be verified" in Windows 7
If you get an error when verifying the blobs, you just have to copy all the .dll files that are in:
C: / Program Files / Common Files / Apple / Apple Application Support (windows 7)
      C: / Program Files (x86) / Common Files / Apple / Apple Application Support (windows 7 64bits)
      to the route:
      C: / Users / Your user / AppData / Roaming / redsn0w
If you do not see the AppData folder select the option "show hidden files" in Windows
      In Windows XP:
C: / Program Files / Common Files / Apple / Apple Application Support
      to the route:
C: / Documents and settings / your user / program data / redsnow
NOTE: You do not need to install the firmware now, this firmware should be saved for when Apple does not sign iOS 5.0.1 in case you have any problem so that you are not forced to update and lose the untethered jailbreak.

Thanks a lot. I have followed your instructions in Windows 7 64 bits and everything is perfect. Greetings.

Hello Gnzl, the tutor is very good, a doubt, by doing this it preserves the baseband, right?

Can we do this process with other Firmwares? That is, with 5.1 and the previous iOS 4?

Hello! thank you very much for the tutorial!
The problem I have is that I not only want the jailbreak on the iphone 4, but I need to jailbreak it. To do it with ultrasn0w I need version 1.59.00 or in any case less than 3 ... where can I get a version like this to do the whole process with mac ?! Thanks a lot

  22.   Facundo said

Gonzalo, how are you I wanted to know if these are used to go from version 4.1 to 5.0.1 and 5.1 is coming out? I tell you that I have the shsh of cydia 5.0.1. I have iPhone 3GS baseband from Ipad !! Answer me, please !!!

Here is a video for those who get errors. It is not explained very well or it helps to clarify important things such as:

    - When you get error number 1 before finishing the restoration by iTunes, go to follow it with redsnow and it will do it for you without any problem.
