Apple offers us a new native application for the iPhone with iOS 5.0 entitled «Reminders«. The function of this tool is none other than to remind us of something that we have previously pointed out. At first, many of you will think "I already use the alarm in the Clock application to remind me of something and I do not need this application." However, "Reminders" offers us a unique feature.
The application will allow us to remember something when we arrive at a certain address. For example, if you are on vacation and have something important to do when you get home, you can configure Reminders so that you get a notice when you get home, based on geolocation. For this, we will have to have addresses associated with our contacts.
Another example: "I have to remember to say something to my friend when I get home." We simply configure the option "Remember me when I get to my friend's location". As soon as we are at the indicated address, we will have a notice from Reminder.
A good excuse to stop using our alarms.
my curiosity is ... so that the mobile knows where I am at all times and the alarm goes off when I get home ... I should use the gps at all times, that is…. a considerable battery consumption…. no?!?!
I also tried another one of alarms that only sounded where you programmed them and very well - only that the battery from 100 went down to 20 in a short time (new iphone4) and I'm afraid that this must be the same
The idea seems excellent to me, but like Jose and Edgar, I think that the battery would not last 6 hours (on my 3GS) ... What are you waiting for to create a battery that will be banked for at least 24 hours all the functions of the new cell phones ??? since the functions are excellent, but once you use everything, the battery leaves a LOT to be desired ...
Hahaha maybe Apple will surprise us with a super battery with autonomy never seen ... And I say super battery because they are reducing the size of the iPhone, increasing the screen and increasing its performance (this is equal to higher consumption) and I do not know where they are going to put the battery ... Currently It has 1.400mhz and you all know how long it lasts, although to tell you the truth it lasts twice as long as my galaxy s2 that has 1650mhz. At least Samsung allows you to change the battery and sells a specific charger for the extra ... Mr. Jobs don't know how he's going to solve this ... But the iCloud functions, plus the increased screen and processor will consume more battery, that's what I assure you and if the iPhone 5 has less internal space ... How are they going to solve it?
