Specifically, it would be TSMC, the same one that manufactures the A11 boy, which would have revealed that the fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the screen of the next iPhone 8, as well as that it will have infrared sensors for augmented reality functions.
These alleged statements by TSMC have been disseminated by DigiTimes, and if true, they are not speculations by analysts but information that comes directly from an Apple supplier, so they should be taken into account. Recall that Samsung had to abandon its initial idea of placing the fingerprint sensor of the Galaxy S8 on the front for not getting that technology to work, so if Apple succeeded with the iPhone 8 it would be a tremendous blow to the table of the North American company.
Not only have they revealed this, but they have also ensured that on the same screen we will find invisible infrared sensors that will serve to allow more advanced facial recognition than what other devices currently have, in addition to serving augmented reality functions, it seems that one of the most relevant features that the iPhone 8 will bring. A 5,8-inch screen size with an 18.5: 9 aspect ratio (the current screen is 16: 9) complete the rumors that DigiTimes publishes citing the same source. Those who were afraid that Apple would put the ensor in the rear today can breathe a little easier, although this is not over yet.
