Review of the Quirky Converge multi-load base

At home we have an iPhone 5 and 4S, an iPad 3 and an iPad Mini. Although the autonomy of the iPad is spectacular, practically every day you have to charge them all, so when the day is over, being able to leave it in a place "resting" and charging at the same time is essential for me. For a long time I used a charging dock that allowed charging of up to 4 devices, but the iPad 3 would not charge when there were two or more devices already charging. After many laps, I found the Quirky Converge, a charging base for up to 4 devices that promised to charge whatever was put in front of it, and with a design that I loved, so I didn't hesitate much and bought it.

The base is made of white polycarbonate, and it is quite simple. It has 4 USB connections on the back to which to connect the charging cables of any device. A disadvantage, because you need the cables, but a great advantage, because it does not marry any brand, you can charge whatever, since the connection cable is provided by you. It also has a light indicator on the front that indicates that it is connected.

Its «S» design allows on the one hand that the devices are perfectly supported, and on the other hand, being able to hide the cables under the base, so that nothing is visible, something basic for those of us who hate having cables in between. Only the connector sticks out through the slit in the base, covered with rubber bands that help the connector stay "fixed", although the result is not as desired in the case of the tiny Lightning connector.

The devices are placed on top of the base, and are connected to the cables, thus starting the charging. How many devices can be charged? Well, it has up to 4 USB, so in theory 4 devices. In the case of 4 iPhones (or smartphones) there would be no major problem, but in the case of iPads, there is a maximum of one iPad Mini and one iPad retina, nothing more. The solution that I have taken is to remove one of the cables from the side and load the iPad 3 (the largest I have) on top of the shelf where I have the base placed, and thus I leave space for the two iPhone and the iPad to load Mini.

All 4 devices charge without the slightest problem, even the iPad 3 which is the most delicate with chargers, and I have not noticed that the loading time is long. The base is connected by means of the typical charger to the electrical current, but a negative detail, it came with the American connection, so I had to spend 2 euros on an adapter for European plugs. On the official website, where I made the purchase, they did not give me the option to request a European connection.
