Road Bike Pro by Runtastic, a good app for bike lovers

Ideal application for cyclists

The good thing about smartphones is that they are useful for practically any activity thanks to the applications that are in the App Store, and cycling lovers like me have a good variety to choose from when taking the bike and going out to pedal. Let's see what the Runtastic option offers us: Road Bike Pro.

Very complete

If there is something that surprises from the first moment, it is that the application keeps track of practically everything what we could imagine: distance traveled, meters raised and lowered with respect to the starting level, pedaling cadence, heart rate, current speed, average speed and some other less relevant data that are shown to us on a fully customizable screen that we can configure and order to taste.

Although all these data are shown perfectly, for the pedaling cadence and for the pulsations we logically need to have the compatible accessories with the app, which on the other hand are not exactly cheap and it is not that we have many options from which to throw, but it is what there is and it is understood that they also want to obtain some benefit out there.

Matter of details

The application records every movement we make thanks to the IPhone GPS and it captures it on a map that we can see as we pedal -if we have an adapter to place the iPhone on the handlebar- or that we can analyze at the end of our session, since it works perfectly with the iPhone locked and does not use so much battery in this way as if we always had it on.

Ideal application for cyclists

Although the design of the app is correct and in general it is very good, that in 2013 it does not have support for iPhone 5 is a little disappointing. The Runtastic -running- app does have it and it is practically the same, so it is shocking that we have to eat the two black bars as owners of an iPhone 5, especially when the running app has been updated to the new screen for two months four inches.

I imagine or want to believe that it will be updated in the next few months, and of course I am not going to stop using it since it seems like a cool appBut sometimes these little details are what make the difference. If I have 70 applications on my iPhone 5, I think that only three or four are not adapted, and that Road Bike Pro is one of them is a bit sad when it is one of the most expensive.

The latest version of iOS (15.1) no longer allowed to open the Road Bike version. And it appears on the screen "The developer of this app must update it to be compatible with this version of iOS." Will this happen? Thank you very much and greetings
