From time to time I like to go out on the bike and do a few kilometers. When I do, I usually control my activity with Runtastic, one of the best applications for it. What I wear worse is putting my iPhone in a case that I put on the handlebar, enter the application, indicate the type of activity that I am going to do and start. Some of this will be a thing of the past when iOS 10 is officially released thanks to Siri's integration with third-party applications.
Quite contrary to what WhatsApp used to do, which took its time to adapt its application to the screens of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 / 6s in its day, Runtastic usually takes advantage of the options that the creators of an operating system give it to enrich your application asap. In this way, the Runtastic developers have already got their hands on the Siri SDK and they are already working to have everything ready for when iOS 10 is officially launched, a launch that is scheduled for "fall" (which will be September with the presentation of the iPhone 7).

What can we ask Siri to do Runtastic? Well, for example, we can say "I'm going to walk for 30 minutes" or "stop the activity for a moment", Siri will recognize the order, pass the information to Runtastic and the task will be carried out without us having to touch the screen of our iPhone not once.
Although, as I have commented in another post, the new abilities of Siri know me little because I expected a new version that better recognize natural language, something that analysts had advanced, it must be recognized that the integration of Siri with third-party applications is a giant step for our virtual assistant, and more if we take into account how closed Apple is with its software. Of course, to be able to use this function we will still have to wait a few more months.
