Semi-Restore for iOS 9.0.2-9.1 Now Available

Semi-Restore for iOS 5-iOS 9.1

The biggest fear of any user who has jailbroken their iOS device is that they will run into a problem that forces them to restore their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and lose the jailbreak. With that idea, the owner of Cydia Saurik created a tool called Cydia Impactor which left the device as if it had been restored with iTunes and kept the jailbreak, but while we wait for a version compatible with iOS> iOS 9.1, Semi-restore It has been updated to support the latest jailbroken versions.

It is clear that Saurik's tool is better and makes everything cleaner, not to mention that it is everything easier. The differences between Cydia Impactor and Semi-Restore are fundamentally two: Cydia Impactor works directly from the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and restores the device completely, while Semi-Restore depends on a computer and maintains the jailbreak. In both cases the iOS version is maintained, but if we have used Cydia Impactor we will have to jailbreak it again.

Semi-Restore is now compatible with up to iOS 9.1

If you have a problem, you are thinking of restoring your iOS device but you were not deciding on don't lose the jailbreak, now you can do it by following the tutorial that Gonzalo did in his day Tutorial: restore without losing the jailbreak (SemiRestore). The process is very simple and differs little from the tools we use to jailbreak. Once the Semi-Restore has passed, our device will show us the welcome screen as if we had just restored from the device or with iTunes, but the jailbreak will be done and 100% operational. All data, applications and tweaks will have been removed, so it is worth, as always, to make a backup before starting the process.

You can download the latest version of Semi-Restore from THIS LINK. If you have used the tool, do not hesitate to leave your experiences in the comments.

Hi, I just tried the tool and it certainly doesn't work for me on an iPhone 6s with iOS 9.0.2. It stays at the beginning of the bar where it says connecting with device. And I have the shsh installed. And I use it on Windows
