Nobody likes to hear an alarm that forces us to wake up in the morning. With how well we were sleeping and now we have to get up early to work, go to school or something we would prefer to do at another time. The sounds of the alarms can cause us microinfarctions (joke) and if we put a song that we like, we run the risk that we will stop liking it. The best option is a radio that plays music that we like. Beats 1 is a great option, but at the moment there is no native option to configure it. Luckily, there is a way for jailbroken users..
There is no specific tweak for it, although it would not be surprising if we see it in the future. In order to configure Beats 1 as an alarm on our iPhone we will only need Activator and configure it for it. If you follow the steps that I detail below, you have no loss. And don't wake up to that hellish sound again - or don't hate that angelic sound!
How to set Beats 1 as my iPhone alarm
- Open Activator, go to "anywhere" and tap on "More".
- We touch "scheduled", we choose which days we want the alarm to sound and we save.
- We slide down until we see the date that we set and we touch the time, we touch "More" and then we choose "ask Siri".
- In the dialog box we put "Siri, play Beats 1" without the quotes.
- We save.
And that's it. What it will do is that at the time we have configured it, Siri will be asked to play Beats 1. It can be a tedious process, but by doing it a couple of times you will see how it costs you much less. Maybe Apple will add this option in a future version of iOS, it should, but at the moment this is the only way - that I know of - to achieve it. So, if you like to wake up every day to a different song and you don't have a radio alarm clock, this is a great option that might interest you.
