We have new app of the week on the App Store. This time it's about Shades, a fantastic puzzle game whose gameplay will remind you a lot of Tetris, that is, in Shades we do not have pieces with different shapes and colors.
In Shades, rectangles of the same color palette will fall, darkening as we join blocks of pastel tones. The mechanics are very simple and in a matter of seconds we will catch the trick, that if, the really complicated thing is to get experience to make multiple combinations.
Taking advantage of these combos is vital to increase the time that the game lasts. If we are able to make the block resulting from joining two pieces merge with another, that's when we will be able to bite into Shades and enjoy its true potential in terms of gameplay. Here are the basic rules to know how Shades works:
- Drag the falling blocks into the best position to combine blocks and clear rows.
- Place 2 blocks of the same color on top of each other to combine them into a single block of a darker color.
- Create a row of blocks of the same color to clear the row.
- Don't let your stack of blocks get to the top.
Shades is a game that normally it costs 1,99 euros but now you can get it completely free in the App Store. You have seven days to get hold of it but don't miss this opportunity because it is one of the games that is worth having installed:
It's like the minimalist imitation of tetris
