During the last few months we have had the opportunity to repeatedly ask Siri what languages she speaks. His usual response, to date, was "English, German and French." A few weeks before the release of iOS 5.1, he confessed that he was learning Japanese. And now, for the first time, when asked, he confesses: "I'm studying new languages too."
On the other hand and according to the Italian website melablog, Tim Cook has personally responded to an email from an Apple customer who wanted to know if Siri would be available in Italian. At the moment, only Spanish, Chinese and Korean are listed on Apple's website as the languages in which Siri will be launched throughout 2012. However, we still have no clue about the specific dates on which Apple it could launch Siri in these languages.
Italian does not even appear on this list, so Michele, the person who wrote to Tim Cook, asked him why Apple is not interested in the Italian market and why Siri was not going to be launched in that language. This is what Tim Cook responded quickly and concisely in his email:
"Michele,
I love Italy.
We will launch Siri in Italian this year.
Tim.
It seems that Apple has wanted to give more importance to those languages with more market. Hopefully Siri "learns" Spanish as soon as possible. Last week it was released in Japanese along with iOS 5.1.
as it is released in Italian rather than in Spanish, there will be more than words…; D
I already said that before ios 5.1 I once asked him and he said Japanese and I'm learning new languages 😉
Siri in Catalan they won't, right?
Look, Omar, I don't know in Catalan, but Tim Cook has a nephew of Mieres miner so I notice that Bable comes out earlier.
There is what matters to Apple Spain ... or Latin America ...
