By now you all know the Shazam application, one of the best options when it comes to song recognition. It is enough to bring the iPhone closer to the audio source that offers a minimum of quality and after a few seconds, the application will return the name of the song, the album to which it belongs, the artist and other interesting data that may interest us.
After the arrival of iOS 8, the technology of Shazam is integrated into the system and it is Siri who can take advantage of it. We just have to activate the vocal assistant and say something like "what song is playing" for the audio capture to begin. Finally, after a few seconds we will have the answer to our question, getting the name, album, artist and a link to purchase the single directly from the iTunes Store.
It is true that there are more limitations using Siri instead of the Shazam application but it is also a much faster option, something very useful when the song is about to end or is going to play for a very short time.
Although the possibility of recognize songs through Siri It was something that was announced at WWDC last June, now that we have iOS 8 with us this is a feature that is not getting much attention and, as a loyal Shazam user, I find it really useful.
