Siri turns off the kitchen light. Okay, right now. Sorry, something is wrong. Retry"

This is one of the responses offered by the Siri assistant when we ask it to perform an action with a device connected to HomeKit from our Apple Watch. Actually several users are noticing that Siri displays this error message with some devices even though it performs the function correctly. So in reality the system is not failing or we are not facing a failure itself, it is rather a response bug in which the Apple assistant tells us that it cannot perform the action with that specific device but it really does. performed.

Actually Siri does perform the action but still sends the error

In my personal case, this bug is happening to me with a HomeKit compatible LED strip that I have installed in the kitchen. Actually, the rest of the devices that I have installed at home that are compatible with HomeKit work great so it is not a failure in all the devices, it is in one in particular. This is happening to many more people and in a Telegram channel related to home automation in general There are also multiple users who have HomeKit compatible devices with the same problem.

We imagine that it is something that it will be fixed with a simple update by Apple And although we have to insist that it is not a failure that causes the device to malfunction because it does perform the action we ask for, it is somewhat annoying to send you that message of «Sorry, something is wrong. Please try again »as it leaves you wondering whether or not they actually placed the order. Surely Apple already have a few reports with the problem and will release an update soon.

After calling Apple, what you have to do is change the room where the homepod is, for example if it is in the living room, put it in the living room, and so it is solved

Thanks friend ... I had been with this failure for days and it was already touching my nose.

Changing the Homepod to "Hall" for example works perfect for me ... if I put it back in "Living room", it fails me again. Hope they fix it in an update.

This happens to me, for example, when I tell Siri to set a countdown for me. And it only happens when it is connected to wifi (not always) so I expect a lower response time from wifi, and it gives the error, even if I perform the order correctly

It also happens to me whenever I put a countdown. And it has been malfunctioning for a while, both with iPhone 8 Plus and XS Max.
