Six tricks for iOS 7 that didn't exist in iOS 6

iOS 7 is full of new things to discover and explore. We've been spending some time with it on our iPhones and iPads, and we've found a ton of hidden surprises in the features and new ways of getting things done.

Here, we leave you six surprising tips and tricks, ready for you to try them yourself on your devices with the iOS 7 beta installed.

• Manually update apps

Una feature promising from iOS 7 is automatic app update. Manually updating applications can become a nuisance when we have many applications installed on our device and with this we can waste a lot of time just updating applications. Fortunately, the first iOS 7 betas have the ability to update all your apps in the background just by accessing the updates tab of the appstore. However, if you want to choose which applications to update we will have to deactivate the automatic updates option.
For disable updates, we agree, to adjustments->iTunes and Appstore->We deactivate the updates option in the automatic downloads section.
The updates will be made in the same way as in iOS 6.

• Change the text size

Many times in some applications we would like to have the letter a little larger, it is true that in iOS 6 within the accessibility section we have an option to make the letter larger, now in the iOS 7 betas found a new option outside the accessibility section to increase the font size. This increase can be made only in supported applications, which means that each developer will have to adapt their application to this new option.
In order to make the letter bigger you must do it in the following way, we access Settings->General->Text size, with this we can increase or decrease the size of the text.

• Force Quit Applications to Multitask

iOS 7 brings with it a series of surprising features, one of them is the new way the system handles multitasking. In iOS 6, a double click on the home button opens the multitasking bar at the bottom of the screen.

The way to access multitasking in iOS 7 is done in the same way, but the visual aspect of multitasking is very different. Instead of a small bar at the bottom, we get the preview of each application in multitasking, you can swipe left and right to move between apps.

For activate multitasking haz double click home key, you will see the application icon and a screen preview of the application, to close an application all you have to do is swipe the app preview part up.

• Select whether to drive or walk in Maps

In Apple's mapping app, which debuted in iOS 6, you've always been able to set the volume for voice directions, choose whether to use miles or kilometers, and set your labels on the map in English or not.

However, now you are able to establish if we are walking or going in some type of vehicle. Since you cannot access the same streets on foot as in a vehicle. To be able to adjust it to our preferences, we just have to access the menu adjustments-> Maps-> we scroll to the end and choose the desired option.

• Use panoramic images on the lock screen, home screen, or both

iOS 7, you can configure your panor photosimages like your lock screen image or your home screen image. By putting a panoramic image your device will show it in full size, which will allow you to move the device in a circle you will be able to see the whole image since it will move as you move your device. To be able to activate the background with a panoramic screen, we only have to configure it as the background in the same way as in iOS 6.

• Use the compass as a level

In the beta of iOS 7, I found one new feature within the compass appThis new function is a level to know if the surface where we place our device is crooked or is well placed. I was using third party apps to level them when I had to mount a shelf screwed to the wall to make sure it was in the correct position.

To to use this new function we just have to access the compass, slide the compass from right to left and a nice level will appear same as the image at this point. When the surface where the device is is fully facing the level will turn green showing 0º.
