Apple Watch causes skin irritation for some users

We have a new #Gate in sight: Apple Watch is causing skin irritation for some users. The irritation would be being caused by allergy to any of the materials that those from Cupertino have used to manufacture the straps for their smartwatch. To stay on trend every time a problem appears in a Cupertino product, do we start calling it #IrritationGate?

The watch that would be giving more problems is the Sport model, which arrives with a strap of fluoroelastomer. This material was foreseeable that it would arrive with an allergy problem, since it is a material that is very little tested, unlike other materials, such as leather or steel, which have already been made a long way in all kinds of products.

Apple already mentions in its support web page that "a small number of users will experience reactions to certain materialsWhich can be caused by environmental factors, allergies, etc. Different materials that could cause allergic reactions in Apple Watch owners are highlighted and suggest that make sure the strap is neither too tight nor too loose. Users affected by skin irritation should exchange the strap for one made of a different material. What is not clear, although I hope so, is whether the change will be free or not. The normal thing in the case of Apple is that the change is free, adding the difference in the event that the new chosen strap is more expensive.

This problem was foreseeable since there are many types of skins and it is normal that there is a small percentage of users who are allergic to any material. Fluoroelastomer is not exempt from this problem and this possible new #Gate (so as not to break tradition) proves it.

With how great it is to wear a good Swiss watch on your wrist

With a Swiss watch it can also happen to you if your skin is reluctant to the material with which it was made.

That happens to you with a watch, a bracelet, a pendant, some earrings… .whether they are Swiss, Armani or the neighbor… .if you are allergic to a material, it may already be Swiss or Chinese that you will have that allergy

I want to kill myself rrrrrrrrrr, I have been wearing it for 24 hours and it stings! I am allergic to metals and did not consider it when I bought it. As a girl I could never wear earrings, chains or bracelets if they weren't made of gold. But the Apple whatch Edition (gold) I cannot afford it, thanks that I could with the Sport. What I do?? anyone have any solution ??

Hold on Nati ..! It's worth putting up with a little itch on that big screen with its little app circles: I have it and today after 10 days I have gotten a bit of an allergy, but nothing happens. Being Apple they will give us an edition.

The strap of my Apple whatch has produced an allergy on my wrist, endorsed by a dermatologist's report, and I have made the claim to Apple technical support. Solution that they have given me: that I buy a different strap than the one I have.
    Totally dissatisfied with Apple!
