In the heat of battle to dominate the sector of applications related to ephemeral images (and not so ephemeral), Snapchat released a new version a few weeks ago. In it you could see how it had been integrated virtual reality in the filters that the application called World Lens. Just today, Snapchat has launched a new version of its application with a bundle of new features very interesting, like the new function: unlimited snaps, with which we can send snaps to our friends who can view it for as long as they want; or editing tools they have added in the capture area.
New features for a Snapchat that lagged behind
We've all felt the frustration of not being able to fully enjoy a snap - even after repeating it - and we wanted to give you the option of allowing the recipient to enjoy their snap for as long as they want.
Here's how Snapchat introduces its new feature: Unlimited snaps. Its operation is very simple. If we go back to the original system of the social network, it was based on sending images or videos that lasted between 1 to 10 seconds, and after viewing they were eliminated, without the possibility of seeing them again. With this new function, we will be able to send snaps without duration, that is, the recipient of the message will be able to see it as many times as they want as long as they do not lift their finger from the screen. Once you pick it up, the snap will disappear.
These messages will be able to be uploaded to the story and will work in a similar way. If we compare these repetitive snaps with the Boomerang of Instagram, some similarity can be seen.
Another modification that Snapchat has made with its version 10.8.0.0 is the redesign of the content capture screen. Now, the tools for cutting, stickers, etc ... are on the right side. Justification by the social network team is that in the future you could take advantage of the upper part or even the same right bar to incorporate new creative features.
In terms of creative features, the new version brings two with it:
- Draw with emojis: yes, from now on you can draw with emojis very easily by pressing on the «stickers», selecting the emoji and dragging your finger across the screen.
- Draft: In the most “clone stamp” style of Photoshop, Snapchat enters fully into the very light edition Images, to remove certain elements from an image and replace them with new ones.
