It was one of those things that Apple did not even glancing at in the last Keynote presentation of iOS 11, but nevertheless it is something that users have been demanding for a long time. Okay we have to pay to expand those measly 5GB of iCloud storage that are scarce to anyone, but that you pay for extra storage and cannot share it with other users in your family was something that was already crying out to heaven.

With iOS 11 this situation will come to an end, since Apple will allow you to share your iCloud storage with the members of your group «En Familia». In this way, this service that until now allowed you to share your iTunes purchases, create accounts for minors and have up to 6 Apple Music accounts for only € 14,99, now it will also allow you to contract up to 2TGB of online storage for only 9,99 , € XNUMX per month and share it with all members of the group.

We do not know more details, because Apple did not mention anything about it, but in iOS 11 it already allows us to access the iCloud settings and share our storage with the push of a button. At the moment it is shared en bloc, you cannot assign "partitions" of storage to each user, but we all add what we have occupied. From the settings you can see what each user occupies in iCloud, but without other configuration options. In the multicolored bar that indicates in which type of files the space is occupied, you will see what the rest of your family members occupy in gray (1 and 2).

There are many questions to answer, but we will have to see them as the days go by and the following Betas that appear. Can we finally share the Photos we have stored in iCloud with whoever we want? Can we put limits on the other members so that our iCloud does not fill up with their photos and videos from WhatsApp?

UPGRADE: According to our own readers we have been told, and we can also see in Apple's price plans, only those of 200Gb and 2Tb are compatible with this new Family Sharing option.
