This will be the iPhone 8 according to Mark Gurman

After months of rumors, the once "guru" of the Apple leaks has just published an article in Bloomberg where he reports on what his different sources have told him about the next iPhone 8. Although it brings little news to the much that has already been said about Apple's next smartphone, it is always interesting to know the information from Gurman, which despite not being in the front line after leaving 9to5Mac has more than proven to have more than reliable sources of what Apple is going to launch in the future. We give you all the information about what Mark Gurman has said about what the iPhone 8 will be like.

Curved glass but flat screen

No curved screens like the Galaxy S8, the iPhone 8 will have a curved screen, although the impression that it will give will be to have some curvature when reaching the edges since the glass will be curved in that place. It will be a design very similar to that of the Apple Watch, to get an idea, but with less black frame around the screen.. Of course the screen will be OLED, with more vivid and realistic colors than the current LCD screens, which on the other hand will be the ones that will continue to have the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus that will be launched together with the iPhone 8.

There will be no frames, that also confirms it, and there will be no start button on the front. The fashion for phones without frames is imposed and Apple does not want to be less than its main competitors that with phones like the LG G6 or the Samsung Galaxy S8 have already advanced in this regard. The question is what will happen to Touch ID.

Where will the Touch ID be?

Here Gurman does not solve the enigma that accompanies everything related to the fingerprint sensor of the iPhone 8. He assures that, as we already know, Apple is working on placing it integrated into the screen, but that it is not yet known if he will be able to get it for a mass production, as manufacturers seem to be having trouble with this. PIt would happen to him like Samsung and that he had to place it on the back after the unsuccessful attempt to integrate it into the screen. What is clear is that if Apple manages to place more than one on the front in Samsung, it will receive a good reprimand.

Dual but vertical camera

The camera will be as we have seen in other leaks: with a double lens but in a vertical position. This will capture better photographs according to the sources consulted by Gurman. At the moment the prototypes continue to maintain the salience of the current models, so it is expected that the final model will also have it. As for the front camera, it could also receive the double lens. Virtual reality and facial recognition will play a fundamental role in the iPhone 8 and hence the front camera also has important new features in this model.

Steel frame and rear glass

As we told you this morning iPhone 8 will have a shiny steel frame, similar to the Apple Watch, and the back of the smartphone will be glass. The design will therefore be very similar to that of the iPhone 4 and 4S, but with curved glass around the edges. It seems that according to its sources, Apple would be testing a prototype with an aluminum back, and with a size slightly larger than the glass model.

iOS 11 and 10nm processor

Finally, Gurman talks about a major change in the design of iOS 11, something that many of us expect after several years with the design released with iOS 7. The new operating system will be presented at WWDC 2017 in June, as usual, and launched together with the iPhone 8, something that could happen later than usual, since manufacturing problems would prevent its launch just after the summer.

Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will have 10nm processors, which will be a significant change from the current 16nm processor. We can summarize these changes in that 10nm processors will be more efficient, so more power can be achieved with less battery consumption. This point will be important since the iPhone 8 will have a screen like the iPhone 7 Plus (5,5 inches) with a size similar to that of the iPhone 7, so the space for the battery will be less.

Finally. I hope this analyst is right this time about the new iOS that is coming.

It already does. For the time that I am with Apple (from the iPhone 4) and I have never switched to another platform because I simply do not need it. The iPhone gives you everything in the best possible way. The problem is that you start to get a bit bored ... the system is always the same.

It would be good if they gave a new image to the system and that, once and for all, separate an iPhone system from that of the iPad. The latter was never exploited, I think, in the best way. The iPad gives much more ...

We will then see if this person is right, even if it is in that.

I have heard that it may have a double front camera that includes (iris reader, virtual reality and 3D capture), in addition to the curved screen and wireless charging, now on iOS I think it is time for a facelift, well apart This new iPhone will require new functions, a possible touch bar as suggested by some renders of designers, it would be something cool, also new gestures to take advantage of the curved screen and why not, let you choose the color of the system, also for the ipad It would be nice to include a file manager and having separate accounts would be greatly appreciated.

Another thing that I would like to know is if there will be news of the ipod touch 7G, it is time for me to retire my 5G and I would like to change it for a more modern one with a better processor and camera and touch ID and 3D touch, because I use it so much for music I like to play, but it doesn't measure up as before and I don't want to put games on my phone since that later takes its toll on the battery
