Yesterday, Chrome was updated for iOS, the Google browser that can be enjoyed on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. As sometimes happens, the new version brought hidden an important bug that causes the unexpected closure of the application without the user being able to do anything.
Apparently this failure is related to the privacy policy of sending usage data, option that if we have disabled, will cause the closure of the application until Google releases an update. If we want to continue using Chrome until that day comes, we have two possibilities:
Remove and reinstall Chrome
To do this, you have to do the following:
- Remove the Chrome app from your device
- Install Chrome from the App Store
- Make sure that in the initial configuration steps, you enable send usage data
Second option
To perform these steps, you have to be very fast and maybe it won't work out the first time. If you see it too complicated, try to install the browser again. If you like challenges, these are the steps to follow:
- Run Chrome
- Enter the main menu at the top marked under an icon with three horizontal lines.
- Access the Settings option and enter the Privacy tab
- Click on the Send usage data option and select the Always option
Hopefully Google releases a Chrome update ASAP. We will inform you as soon as this problem is officially solved.

Haha I like challenges but this is impossible heh… ..
But if it is very easy if you use 2 fingers you have plenty of time.
Chrome Download Manager no longer works ... The thing is, one did the second step first and it didn't work, it kept crashing ... Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it kept doing the same thing, until I deactivated Chorme Download Manager and that's it! Let's see if they update the Download in cydia that I occupy it a lot mmmmmm
Just today an update came out for that twek, I use it but the chrome keeps breaking ... ..
If yes, a bug, what they want is the data to continue with personalized advertising.
What a bunch of scavengers
I found a faster solution, uninstalled it and installed Dolphin Browser! Chrome you go to hell!
What a bullshit ... safari is better, it may not be so pretty, but it does the job!
I reinstalled the previous version.
Until it is solved, I stay there.
