If iTunes 10 closes when accessing the applications tab of your iPhone here you have several solutions to try:
1.- Open iTunes while pressing the Command + Option (MAC) or Control + Shift (Windows) buttons, it will open in safe mode, if it works correctly for you, the problem is due to a third party.
2.- Delete the following plists in MAC:
- Username / Library / Preferences / com.apple.iTunes.plist
- Username / Library / Preferences / com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist

3.- Uninstall iTunes 10 and reinstall it.
4.- If none of this works for you,
uninstall iTunes and delete the file:
iTunesX.pkg, found in / Library / Receipts.

Well, it has worked for me on the 1st. I detail how I have done it:
Itunes closed and iPhone disconnected from the computer (in my case an Imac).
I access Cydia through the iPhone and via Wi-Fi, I search for SBSettings and install version 3.1.0-1 of the BigBoss package.
Once installed, I exit Cydia and open SBSettings by sliding my finger across the top bar of the iPhone screen (where the coverage and battery level are).
I select the "More" button (small button at the bottom left).
In the menu that appears, I select "Mobile Substrate Addons" and once inside, I deactivate "iconSupport".
After disabling "IconSupport", I slide my finger across the top bar to open SBSettings again and press the "Respring" button (small button at the bottom).
I wait for the respring to be done, I open Itunes, I connect the iPhone and that's it. When I click on the applications tab (within the iPhone menu in Itunes) it opens (it takes a while but it opens).
Well, I have done it that way and it works for me. Let's see if we are lucky.
