Some Apple Watch SEs sold in South Korea experience overheating issues

Apple Watch SE problems

During the keynote that Apple held in mid-September, the Cupertino-based company presented two Apple Watch models, the SE model being, like the iPhone, the entry-level device to the Apple Watch range, device that does not integrate the ECG function or the blood oxygen meter.

A few hours ago, Apple released a new update for Apple Watch Series 3 for the automatic reboot issues I was experiencing, but It seems that he is not the only one who is feeling bad watchOS 7. As we can read on Reddit, some users in South Korea are experiencing heating problems on the Apple Watch SE.

These users claim that without using the Apple Watch, it has begun to overheat later showing a spot on the screen, a yellow spot that appears at the top right of the screen. When taking off the Apple Watch quickly when noticing the heating, users had reddened the area where the base of the Apple Watch comes into contact with the skin.

At the moment, the guys at iFixit have not had the opportunity to disassemble this new Apple Watch model, so it is not clear what could be the cause of the problem, but if it is similar to the previous model, it is likely that the problem is found in the Taptic Engine display connectors.

At the moment this problem seems to be limited in South Korea, since these types of problems have not been reported in other countries, so it is more than possible that this is due to a problem related to the manufacturing batch. If so, Apple will automatically replace all the models it has distributed so far or wait for problems to be reported.
