Songwriter, the documentary about Ed Sheeran now available on Apple Music

I think that, unless you live in a bubble isolated from everything, you don't have to explain who the singer Ed Sheeran is. This artist who has become world famous for his latest albums, already has his own documentary, a documentary created by his cousin and whose rights are owned by Apple Music.

Earlier this year, Apple bought the direct ones of the documentary Songwritter, a documentary in which we can see the artist during the tours, rehearsing and taking advantage of the moments of rest to compose new songs. The documentary is now available on Apple Music.

The documentary Songwritter, shows us Sheeran during his tours and the rest periods that he took advantage of to compose the songs for his latest album called Divide. Songwritter has been run by Murray Cummings, Sheeran's cousin, and the Cupertino-based company has paid out several million dollars to take over the worldwide rights. To promote the availability of this documentary on Apple Music, Sheeran has been interviewed by Zane Lowe on the Beats 1 station, in an interview that will also be available on Apple Music shortly.

The Cupertino guys are investing a lot of millions in their strategy to create original content for your streaming video service. But in addition, it is also investing a large amount of money in obtaining the rights to other types of content in the form of documentaries or films.

All this content will be available on the streaming video service in which Apple has been working for just over a year, a service that could see the light next March of next year, at the earliest, although if we take into account the continued delays in the launch of new products or functions, it is likely that this service will not see the light of day until 2020.
