Soon a tweak will arrive that will emulate 3D Touch on the home screen [Video]

3d touch

El jailbreak It is used to install modifications and applications not allowed by Apple, but it also has a more important utility: to eliminate restrictions imposed by Apple. What the developer Elias Limneos is preparing does not serve to eliminate a restriction, but rather to simulate that an iPhone prior to iPhone 6s has the new 3D Touch screen that Apple presented less than two days ago.

As you can see in the video, what Limneos is preparing simulates 3D Touch necessary for us to see the special menu that will appear on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in which we can perform the most common actions of each application, such as creating a new contact in the Phone application or opening the camera to take a selfie, all of this without having to enter the application. The name of the tweak will be 3D Touch.

It must be taken into account that the Limneos proposal not a complete 3D Touch by far. To be able to use everything that the new technology offers us, logically, it is necessary to have a screen with the second generation of the pressure recognition system, a screen that will only be available on the iPhone 6s and later. What this tweak will allow us, at first, will be to be able to launch the new menu by pressing the icons on the Springboard for a certain time, which presents a startup problem: How are the applications uninstalled? At the moment it is not known if for this we will have to go to the iPhone Settings.

The way to launch the menus that opens the 3D Touch can be configure with Activator. At first this is good news, but in order to have the feeling that the iPhone 6s system is being used, you have to keep your finger on the application for some time. It may be worth using it like this and uninstalling the applications from the settings.

It was clearer than water. Most uses of ed touch can be emulated with a long press. the experience will not be as full, but it is certainly very useful.

How to delete an application? Easy, within the options by holding down the button you could implement this function of eliminating application, I tell you that I am a systems engineer and if you do not do that it is because you are not good at programming 😉

I would prefer that it require a second long press to enter the home screen editing mode, if you add emulated «3D Touch» to put a shortcut to delete it in all apps, it will cause many accidental deletions and will overload a space that must be visually attractive, we can always remove it from settings / use / manage storage.

It is obvious it will be from the contextual menu itself as other tweaks do that allow you to see how much the app occupies, clear the cache, etc., including uninstalling it. I wish that was all the complication ..

Some time ago when I had my iPhone 5 there was a tweak that did practically the same and was quite useful, which is a shame that in subsequent iOS updates its developers did not follow up on it. Saving the distances, of course, since its functions depended only on the software. In fact, when I saw the presentation of the iPhone 6s and saw the functions of the 3D Touch, the first thing that came to mind was that tweak from Cydia. So those functions have surprised me rather little, although with that I do not mean that all these news about iOS and the iPhone 6s do not seem right and a good change. It has everything presented on the 9th very good looking ... I am looking forward to reaching Spain.

I think the force is not a big deal… For me it is simple how to hold the finger in one position for two seconds so that the task can be done…. I think that it can be done in any operating system and that although the pressure speeds up the work a bit, let us remember that with physical keyboards that was something that we did not like very much.

What they had to do was take the virtual home from cydia and implement it in iOS 9

It is not necessary to wait for this tuikifrikitiki, there has been App Activate Pro for a long time that what it does is exactly what the lemon tree intends, but with even more options if possible.
