StatusHUD 2, the volume indicator in the status bar (Cydia)

StatusHUD-2

Are you one of those who find it annoying that every time you raise or lower the volume of your device, a window appears in the middle of the screen indicating the new volume level? Well then you are in luck, because thanks to the Jailbreak and Cydia we can now eliminate this annoying indicator. StatusHUD 2 is a new application that has just made its appearance in Cydia and that precisely brings the volume level indicator to the status bar, where it is least annoying. It is now available for download from the BigBoss repo and the good news is that it is also free.

StatusHUD 2 also adds an indicator when you put your phone on silent. A crossed out bell will appear briefly in the status bar when you activate the silent mode, and another bell without crossed out when you activate the sound again. These indicators as I say are temporary, in a couple of seconds they will disappear. In case anyone is interested in knowing why a crossed-out speaker appears in the images next to the Bluetooth icon, it is another free tweak that you can download from Cydia, called MuteIcon (also on BigBoss) and that makes the silent indicator permanent in the status bar.

The app has some configuration options within the System Settings. You can choose between rounded icons or other squares to mark the volume level. It is also possible to modify the size of the indicator, and regulate the time that the indicator remains on the screen.

Looking for other tweaks specially dedicated to remove intrusive elements from iOS? call bar makes calls show up as a notification banner, also available on the BigBoss repo, though not free, priced at $ 3,99. Highly recommended so that receiving a call does not mean having to abandon what we were doing at that time.

More information - Callbar is now compatible with iOS 7 and iPhone 5s (Cydia)

And when you are watching a video in full screen, where is the status bar hidden? Where or how does the indicator appear?

When the content is full screen, the status bar descends and is quickly hidden.

What happens to me is that when silence or not, the bell in the image does not appear, only the time fades and reappears.

As always the JB to the rescue, that damn popup was horrible in iOS 6 (I have inferior), now in iOS7 they put a popup that comes out and completely covers the visibility, although it brings a SUPPOSED EFFECT Glass is very bad.
