Study on how much we use the Apple Watch

I have already commented in previous articles, that the use that we can make an Apple Watch connected to an iPhone has nothing to do with Pebble or Android Wear connected to the same phone. The Apple Watch allows us to interact in both directions and get much more out of our wrist device manufactured by Apple than if it were manufactured by the competition with the limitations that this entails.

A study has just been published showing the times we use the Apple Watch daily and mainly with which applications we do it in a more common way. The average number of times that Apple Watch users interact with the device is between 60 and 80 times a day. In most situations we just do it to check the time.

According to the study, the least we do is read electronic corrections as we are receiving them. But if we continue reading the results of the report, we verify that in second position, after seeing the time, Apple Watch users use the device to consult the different notifications that we receive on our device, whether they are emails, messages from messaging applications, sms ... to which we spend an average of 9,2 seconds.

In third position we find the application designed to quantify the different types of exercise that we do while we use the Apple Watch, with 6%, as well as the notification center in case we have received any notification that we have missed. Next, the most used application is Activity, to check if we have met our calorie burning goals, steps traveled and hours on our feet.

Most users mainly use native apps that are installed on the phone, only 1% of the use of the device is used in the third-party applications that we have installed on the Apple Watch. This 1% also represents the percentage of use we make of calls through the phone and maps.
