Subway Surfers, another interesting endless runner

Subway Surfers

Subway Surfers is another endless runner that is being liked the most on the App Store. Despite having less notoriety than Temple RunFor me, Subway Surfers surpasses this game in many respects and that is only achieved by hooking the user from the first second.

The history of Subway Surfers introduces us to the characters Jake, Tricky and Fresh and all of them must escape from an inspector and his pet who will chase them until we hit an obstacle that puts an end to our trajectory.

The game takes place in an environment surrounded by train tracks, moving trains, track ends and wagons to be circumvented moving laterally, doing jumps or sliding along the ground. The movements of the characters are made by gestures towards the sides so it is really intuitive and the learning curve is very fast. For example, if we want to jump, just slide our finger up.

To add even more excitement to the game, Subway Surfers will place coins around the stage so that we get as many as possible in each attempt. All those coins can then be invested in the purchase of objects and improve skills to go further and further and obtain a higher score. There are power-ups that will help us to be faster, collect more coins or get more points thanks to the increase in the multiplier.

Graphically, Subway Surfers offers a few modeled in three dimensions without much complication, using a very striking color palette that gives it a much more lively appearance. It is a game in which the playability is above the visual section, so it cannot be penalized in this regard either.

Subway Surfers

In its favor, we can say that Subway Surfers is not a game at all repetitive since each time we start a game, the placement of the obstacles to overcome each time is different. Another thing we like is that the game is universal, being able to enjoy it on the iPhone or iPad.

Finally, it is a free game that we can all enjoy, yes, there are many in-app-purchase add-ons that help speed up the process of improving our character in the game. Personally, I think that spending money on these types of games worsens the gaming experience but everyone is free to do what they see fit.
