Without expecting it, Telegram released version 7.0 a few hours ago (to celebrate his 7 years) and video calls saw the light.
All video calls are protected with end-to-end encryption. To confirm your connection, compare the four emojis that appear on the screen for you and your chat partner. If they match, your call is 100% protected by time-tested encryption that is also used in secret chats and Telegram voice calls.
This new feature also contains the essence of Telegram: encryption. These calls will follow the same end-to-end encryption protocol as secret conversations. In this way, it is ensured that there are no indirect connections that can access the call. That is, only the sender and receiver can receive messages and decrypt them with the secret key. To verify that the call is encrypted There are four emojis in the upper right that must match between the interlocutors.
