What does Cydia's Gnzl iPhone have installed?

I want to start by saying that this post is completely partial, it's a post from opinion, The tweaks that I have installed on my iPhone may be useless for many of you, or they may be a reference, it doesn't matter. I write this post because I have been asked many times what do I have installed on my Cydia iPhone.

You will be surprised to see that I have few modifications, And if you modify your iPhone a lot, you can lose performance and battery, that's why I only have the ones that are essential for me, which I would call "the best Cydia modifications."

Let's see them:

Activator: Essential, configure gestures to perform actions, such as turning on the flash to use it as a flashlight by downloading Springflash for free from Cydia. I also use it to activate Fusion, a modification that allows sharing on Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare using the native iOS tool (which in iOS 5 still did not allow sharing on Facbook); it costs $ 2 on Cydia.

AssistantLanguage +: It adds Spanish to Siri in iOS 5, which as you already know is only available in iOS 6. It also adds the rest of the languages that were incorporated in the last update. It costs $ 0,99.

DoNotDisturb: adds Do Not Disturb mode from iOS 6 to iOS 5, and also allows you to activate it from the notification center. Free.

Infinifolders: which we told you about a few days ago because it is already compatible with iOS 6, which allows you to move vertically within the folders and therefore have “infinite” icons per folder (the current limit is 12 icons per folder, 16 for the iPhone 5). Very useful to avoid having to put several folders with the same name. It costs $1,99.

NC Settings: the substitute for SBSettings that you all know, simpler, better design and also free.

WeeKillBackgroundPro: a button to close all the applications in the background, I use it very little because iOS already does this automatically, you can buy it for $ 0,99.

Wee Track Data: a bar to control your data consumption directly from the Notification Center, in an overview of the month, weekly or daily. You can download it for $ 1,99.

zephyr: the best modification that exists in Cydia, I cannot conceive an iPhone without it. Allows you to slide your finger from the bottom to close applications or open multitasking. It costs $ 4,99, but I assure you it is worth it.

More information - Infinidock, Infiniboard and Infinifolders are updated to become compatible with iOS 6 (Cydia)

More or less the same ones that I use, that is, I miss zephyr and activator a lot since I have switched to iPhone 5 and I have not been able to install them. And complement according to Gnzl you only have to install what is necessary.

That is why I have not bought the iPhone 5, it is not worth it without Cydia, I hope it will come out soon

100% agree ... I will wait for there to be JB for iphone 5 and I will also buy it

Gnz thank you! I completely agree zephyr is the best thing about cydia .. I got used to this modification and on the iPhone 5 I'm having a hard time ... What do you mean by that iOS automatically does the same job as weekillbackgroundpro?

    1.    gnzl said

Well, ios closes applications and removes them from the ram as it needs space

friend Gonzalo I miss you ezdecline and quickdo the gestures with 3 fingers save the life of the home button and the device does not slow you down

        1.    Simon said

to hang up a call you don't need an ezdecline, just press the lock button twice

          1.    xxxkofmaster said

I know but it is more comfortable if you see who is calling you and have the button on the screen instead of finishing the power button every time you do not want to or cannot answer

Very good post, I am going to test the NC Settings because in iOS 6 the SB Settings is not very fine to say ... One question I have is, if you really have so little cycia stuff, how is it possible that you have 11 notifications just from that ?? 😛

    1.    gnzl said

They are dependencies, I have not installed the updates to iOS 6 from the tweaks

      Try BannerDisable.

Hello, I have a question: Aren't they going to put more paid applications that are on sale? That section was very good. Thanks!

Moonshine! Nor are all those who are nor are all who are, yes
well clarifies that it is an opinion and that the priority is not to affect the
performance is also to clarify that not all Tweak slows down the computer or
suck the battery. To start the title should refer only to
TWEAKS since there are also applications as necessary as Protube and its corresponding tweak: BRIDGE, just to put an example, that DoNotDisturb adds the do not disturb mode of iOS 6 I think it is too much to ask and I do not see where to configure it. And what to say about InfiniFolders has nothing to do next to ScrollingBoard and finally WeeTrackData that is a professional battery drain. There is nothing interesting in this post.

    1.    gnzl said

I knew that one like that would come ...

Not understanding the meaning of the word OPINION is the problem ...

      1.    lalodois said

The problem is not recognizing that there is always something better and that the opinion in this case goes with tastes, which is what separates us, as mentioned above, that he has a more valid opinion than his, I, like him, also see an excess of waste in buying Zephyr having already installed Activator that is free for example, since in my case there is no slowdown in the function that supplies Zephyr, on the contrary installing two tweaks for the same if it must "slow down" the general functioning in something imperceptible as it may be. but if justified opinions are not valid in this post, more reason gives me for my previous comment. The debate is good with arguments and these are exposed here not to leave you badly but to favor the users that in the end is the reason for this blog.

Believe me when I tell you that the "one" I mean I will not be the only one who thinks like that, maybe if I am the first to take the trouble to write disqualifying it but do not take it to heart, I understand your fear of receiving this type of comments when write this type of post but the only thing that motivates me is that people have the best, I know that if I were the one who had written it, half the world would come to me but you have already penetrated the minds that we consult this blog and you have won the respect of many.

I have never been able to get you to answer me or the questions and now I saw the occasion for you to at least comment on what I said and achieve it.

        1.    gnzl said

If you haven't tried zephyr, how do you compare it to Activator?
I have tried both, and I insist that it is worth it.

          1.    lalodois said

Like many things that I have installed on my iphone I found out about Zephyr in this blog but when I saw the video in its respective post I did not see justification to install it with Activator since, which is mandatory, I also remember that before in another post Right here where they talked about how to configure the Activator gestures to open multitasking, they showed that same gesture of dragging the finger from below, which seemed more than logical to me, I am not one of those who lives killing applications in the background, the great Most of them do nothing or consume resources, so I do not see any added value in those nanoseconds that I cannot appreciate, the truth when Zephyr appeared it seemed to me that "they had discovered warm water" as they say in my country.

In their favor, I will say that iPhones as well as PCs are capricious and two iPhones of the same specifications with Jailbreak may have the same installed but they will not necessarily work the same, sometimes I have noticed that it depends on the order in which they are installed. Tweaks other times I have no idea why it happens, so suddenly we can be talking about one of those cases.

Gnzl would appreciate it if you would please explain how to put the DoNotDisturb in the notification center, because I have always used it and I don't see how to do it.

    1.    gnzl said

      Settings / notifications
You got it down, turn it on

      1.    stepfers said

Well, it should be there, but it doesn't come out, something must be wrong. Thanks!

        1.    stepfers said

I already found the "failure." I do not have DoNotDisturb installed, the one I have is called BannerDisable, which when installed appears in Settings as DoNotDisturb, and this cannot be put in the Notification Center. But it is still very useful. For those who are looking for DoNotDisturb (which is no longer available) BannerDisable is a good option.

    2.    louis miquel said

In the repo "http://jailbreaknovice.myrepospace.com/" you have the Donotdisturb 1 then you can activate it from, notifications in the iphone settings.

Good afternoon Gonzalo ¡¡I, in addition to the ones you already mentioned, I can recommend: ask to send this app asks if we want to send an email or an SMS and thus avoid sending incomplete messages, Pull to dismiss, this app allows us to download the keyboard example in The mail and thus be able to see what we write and finally swipe selection very useful to scroll through what is being written without resorting to the magnifying glass that comes by default from Apple, I have several more; but these are the ones I use the most. Thank you

Gonzalo, Zhephyr "only" serves to close applications by sliding your finger from below, and to remove multitasking? It is that I compi I have the same gesture assigned in Activator and it does exactly the same; well, without the animation. But paying 5 dollars for an animation… I don't see it clear. Similarly I have another Activator gesture to open multitasking and it still comes out free. Gonzalo, give me more arguments to value both such an expensive tweak and its usefulness already has another tweak that we all have installed and on top of it it is free.

On the other hand, the entry is very good because we all like to know that the person who writes the articles of the Cydia app's and tweak's has installed on his personal phone, although of course each of us is a world and we have things different. For example, I like FolderEnhancer much more than Infinifolders (I have both bought) xq apart from letting you put infinite icons in side mode, it lets you create folders within folders and this is very very useful to keep your iPhone organized (for example with games).

Instead of WeeKillBackgroundPro that you mention, I have killbackground that does the same by putting some icons on the sides of the multitasking (I have these icons changed because I did not like the serial ones), pressed on them closes all the app's. Is free.

    1.    gnzl said

The difference between Zephyr and Activator is the immediacy, Activator takes a few seconds to execute the action and Zephyr does not, I used to think the same as you until I tried it.
I've tried FolderEnhancer, but I like it less because of the aesthetic changes it makes. In the end infinifolders is the closest thing to the original state.

      1.    aarancon said

Surely you are right about the immediacy; although honestly I do not complain about the speed in these actions, in fact I had not even thought about it because for me it is perfect. Anyway 5 dollars I think that is a lot of dollars, heh, heh, heh.

As for the FolderEnhancer thing, you're right. What's more, I wrote to the developer to see if I could do it with the original iOS aesthetics and he replied that it was not possible at the moment. In any case, I sacrifice that aesthetic (without a doubt the original is much prettier), for the folders within folders which for me is sensational and "almost" essential.

Much talk about Zephyr. It seems that no one here knows QUICKDO, he kicks Zephyr. It does the same, and much more, and it is also cheaper.

    1.    gnzl said

It is always advisable to express opinions as such, I have one opinion and you have another, let's not try to impose them but to help us. QuickDo and Zephyr do the same thing in very different ways, just like the Activator. I stay with Zephyr with my eyes closed, for its immediacy. If you like QuickDo more, perfect! But we're going to leave the kicks to the footballers, okay?

      1.    Mali said

Of course! Metaphorical kicks, it would be missing more. Maybe it's a problem of lexicon, but where I live kicking something is simply that something is better. Neither more nor less, without any implicit violence, ok? And I think quickdo is much more complete than zephyr and works just as fast (in my opinion). I advise people who like Zephyr to give it a try. A hug!

    Hi Gonzalo,

I have three other tweaks that I find very useful:
    - SmallBanners (Reduce notifications in strips to the size of the status bar and when you are in an application it does not cover the upper buttons when exiting)
    - Switchy (Increases multitasking to double the space, in addition to including music control, brightness adjustment, closing all apps in the background and direct access to settings)
    - AnyAttach (To attach any file directly to an email)

And then I have two other less essential:
    - Safari Download Enabler (To directly download files from Safari)
    - Copic (To include the thumbnail photo of your contacts in all the sites: agenda, emails, messages ... this is the only one that gives me some war and asks for respring every so often)

    A greeting!

One question, if I install the Siri tweak in Spanish, is that enough for me or do I need something else?

  25.   smartypants said

I also use NCSettings and it's fancy. For me essential.

There is a tweak that I am surprised you did not mention, Gonzalo. I love it and it's called PushSound: it allows you to customize the notification sounds for each installed application. Thus, just listening to it, you already know if a whatsapp has arrived, the free app of the day has come out or you have to throw the word (for example).

  26.   chicate69 said

I'm with Gonzalo on the song "Zephyr". There are others who do the same, but not the same. Zephyr does it with unsurpassed smoothness and speed.

Regarding other good Tweaks, I will allow myself the luxury of recommending 4 other fundamentals for me:

    - SwipeSelection: to move through the texts from the keyboard itself.

    - AnyAttach: attach any file to Mail.

    - Mail Enhancer PRO: make Mail the perfect mail application.

    - iFile: file browser

    1.    Adal.javierxx said

100% AGREEMENT ... nothing better than Mail enhancer pro ...

  27.   Adal said

Essential for me: applocker, Mail enhancer pro, FolderEnhancerProtube, annyattach, bridge, ifile, sbsettings, zephyr, iblacklist (I think that's why I have a jailbreak), CallTell, speed intesifier, among others.

Thanks Gnzl for being able to browse on your iPhone!
My question is if you know if with DoNotDisturb or BannerDisable it can be achieved that you only receive calls from a created group. I am interested in receiving at night only the calls of my group «Family» none of the others. I think it is like this on IOS
    Thank you again.

I think it was necessary to callbar, corrector and another that used flashlight that you can put it in the notification center because there are many people who have the most common gestures assigned to the status bar. I used it for pro music control and sbsseting the rest superb. I speak in the past tense because I currently use the iPhone 5 and am looking forward to the jailbreak. It's the things that I miss not to mention the themes (springboard) that are the only reason I started with the jailbreak.
