After posting data that offered the same percentage twice in a row, Apple has republished information on the market share of iOS 9 and this time we can talk about a slight increase. Previous times indicated that the iOS 9 adoption rate had stagnated at 77% for about a month, but this time Apple says that iOS 9 is already on 79% of compatible devices, which is 2% more than about three weeks ago.
We cannot say that it is a considerable increase, but it must be taken into account that a large part of the users who have to use a new operating system, update as soon as the new version is launched, so the increase in users who use a new version iOS tends to slow down over the months. But, on the other hand, the adoption rate of an iOS version is around the 80% in September, so it seems that iOS 9 is on the right track in that regard.
iOS 9.3 could encourage users to upgrade
If the adoption rate has increased by 2% in recent weeks without great news, nothing makes us think that it will not increase something more when Apple releases iOS 9.3. The next version of iOS will include important new features, such as the system that changes the temperature of the screen known as Night Shift, improvements in different Apple applications that are installed by default, such as the possibility of being able to protect the notes with Touch ID (and what are you waiting to add that option in more applications?) or the new applications for education.
Another factor that could encourage users to upgrade is the arrival of a jailbreak for the latest version of iOS, but it seems to me that many of those who have not updated do not do it for fear that their device will see its performance diminish. Is that your case?
Apple seems to be that it already favors jailbreak, even because of how little it works today, every time IOS is more complete, there are some little things missing, but compared to Android M or N, it is far below.
