Unlike other announcements, made by Apple through its press website, this time it was one of the creators Chris Miller, who has announced the premiere of this new series through its Twitter account, through a tweet in which we can read:

The After Party is a eight episode series set in a party that celebrates a reunion of old students and in which one of them is assassinated.

Each episode is seen through the perspective of a different suspect and se films in a different film genre. In this regard, the series creators state that:

By giving each episode its own unique storytelling style, we were able to make what feels like eight distinctly different yet interconnected films that highlight how everyone's personal perspective and biases shape the way they see the world.

Besides Tiffany Haddish, the rest of the protagonists is made up of Zoë Chao, Ben Schwartz, Sam Richardson, Ilana Glazer, Ike Barinholtz, Dave Franco, and Jamie Demetriou.
