According to Apple in the statement in which this news has been released:
This year, we are excited to continue accepting submissions on the App Store Connect during the upcoming holidays. Make sure your apps are up-to-date and ready for the busiest season on the App Store.
Due to the high volume that will be generated, try to send urgent updates or applications in advance. Please note that reviews may take longer to complete from November 24-28 and December 23-27.
Although it won't close for Christmas, Apple reminds developers that application monitoring time may be increased for several days, probably because part of the supervision team will be on vacation.
It seems that, once again, Apple has listened to the developer community, a community that has always seen with bad eyes the period of inactivity of the App Store Connect during the celebration of Christmas.
Every year between December 23 and 27, la App Store Connect closed its doors up and running and no app could be submitted for update or first launch on the Apple app store.
