Since last November 1, the guys from Cupertino have made their new streaming video service called Apple TV + available to all interested users, a service that today has 5 series and 3 movies. Logically, as the weeks go by, that number will increase.
As expected, the quality of Apple's streaming service has already passed the different tests that some media do to see how it offers what it really promises, especially if we talk about content in 4k quality. The first tests give him a very good grade.
According to the guys at FlatpanelsHD, Apple's streaming video service bitrates are one of the highest on the market, outperforming titles that are also available in 4k quality on iTunes.
During the different tests they have carried out, the Jason Momoa series, See, reached an average bitrate of 29 Mbps, with peaks of up to 41 Mbps. The highest transmission speeds (bitrates) indicate higher performance of data both from the Apple server and on the device where the content is played.
The documentary Queen de Elephants, shows an average bitrate of 26 Mbps with peaks of 30 Mbps, while Snoopy in space, has an average tsa of 13 Mbps and peaks of up to 24 Mbps. This transmission speed is below that of products offered by Apple TV +, however, it's still too high for a cartoon.
FlatpanelsHD ensures that Apple TV + transmits approximately 1,5 to 2 times the bit rate of HD Blu-ray and about half that of a UHD Blu-ray disc. To carry out these measurements, the HEVC and AVC coding have been taken into account.
