When Battery Saver mode is on, your device's battery life increases, but some features may take longer to update or complete. Also, some tasks may not work until you deactivate Battery Saver mode or until the battery level is 80% or more.
Apple has decided to take the step e introduce the Battery Saver feature on iPads and Macs. This feature can be found in the first developer betas for iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey, respectively. As explained on the support website, this saving mode limit some functions in order to increase the duration battery. Some of these limited features are:
- Get email
- Background update
- Automatic downloads
- Some visual effects
- Auto lock (set to 30 seconds by default)
- ICloud Photos (temporarily paused)
- 5G (except for streaming videos)
El Battery Saver mode was now available on iOS for some years now. However, we did not know the reason why Apple did not integrate it in the rest of its devices, especially in iPadOS considering that it is a split from iOS. In a beta version of ios 14 it could be put into battery saving mode, then they removed it in later versions.
