The iPhone has already reached its first ten years of life since it was introduced to the world by Steve Jobs, and it is also about to fulfill its first decade since the first units began to reach their first and impatient owners. Since then, a lot has changed in the technology and communication landscape, starting with mobile applications, something until then unknown and that began to experience a real boom that later spread to other devices (tablets, watches, televisions ...). The games, how could it be otherwise, they have occupied one of the most important roles within mobile apps, and also have evolved to offer truly amazing experiences that already make use of augmented reality and other innovations.
The title of this post is extremely ambitious and, above all, highly debatable. The best iPhone games in history? Some of these games are innovative because of their innovative nature, others because of their incredible graphics, and others simply because we like them. The truth is that none of you will agree with this list, because each user has their own tastes, defined criteria ... Still, it is a selection that can be a good starting point to start your proposals in the comments section (below). What are you waiting for?
Andry Birds
The game of these pissed off birds has become mega - famous. Originally released in 2010, it now has a wide variety of versions, including an adaptation of Star Wars, but the mechanics are always the same, throwing birds against pigs. Undoubtedly, the simplicity of its mechanics (not its ease) has been the key for thousands and thousands of users to get hooked to one version or another, or all of them, and make it one of the best and most popular iPhone games of all time.
Cut The Rope
Also released in 2010, the game Cut The Rope has given rise to a true multimedia franchise, made up of movies, spin-offs, sequels and a lot of merchandising. It is a puzzle-based game with incredible, beautiful and fun colorful illustrations in which gravity plays a fundamental role.
Vainglory
We radically change third to talk about Vainglory, a game that wanted to show all the power and potential of the new A8 chip of the iPhone 6, and boy did it succeed. Vainglory it's a MOBA, a real-time battle game in which you can play online with your friends, which is considered to be the best representative of his gender. All in Vainglory it is excellent but without a doubt, its graphics are some of the best on the market.
Pokémon GO
Some will throw stones at me (hopefully only figuratively) for including here Pokémon GO However, nostalgia aside, it was one of the first titles to incorporate augmented reality to its mechanics and, combining it with the use of the iPhone's GPS, made the players rise from their seats to search, capture and train virtual Pokémon. Also, the game transcends age, sex and many other aspects, teens, kids, hipsters, business people, all "got together" to enjoy Pokémon GO.
Monument Valley
Monument Valley It was launched in 2014 and since then it has only won awards and prestige. Is about an incredibly beautiful puzzle accompanied by an equally impressive and engaging story: our mission is to guide a silent princess through beautiful monuments built from impossible structures that, as we manipulate, will reveal optical illusions, hidden paths and many more surprises.
As I said at the beginning, I am sure that none of you will totally agree with this selection. Of course we could include many other titles of enormous quality and great prestige and impact, such as Need for Speed, Asphalt 8, any Telltale games title like The Walking Dead, A Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones or the very Minecraft, and Warhammer 40.000: Freeblade, Hitman: Sniper, threes, Crossy Road and many more but, as you can see, we would not finish. So, What is your proposal as the best iPhone games in history?
FIFA 2013, infinty Blade I II II, real racing 1 and 2
