The best text editors for the iPad

App Store

If the other day we were talking to you about Pages, the word processor of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and we did a fairly brief analysis of the application, as well as in a few hours you will have a brief analysis of Keynote, Apple's presentation editor for our iOS devices. Today I'm going to talk about what are for me, the best text editing applications for the iPad.

There are probably more but I'm going to tell you about 3 editors. Each one has a strong point: design, simplicity, iCloud ... They are all different from each other but they all have the same function: to offer the user what they think we want to improve text editing on our iPad. Forward:

  • Pages: Apple's processor

Clearly, he is one of the best and should be on the list, yes or yes. It is not that it is from Apple but that I always use it a lot on Wi-Fi networks and therefore I have no problem synchronizing my Pages documents with Pages on my Mac and therefore the handling of documents is very fluid between Mac and iPad. The strongest points of Pages are the impeccable design and functionalities. The point that Apple has to improve the most in the next big update should be the synchronization with iCloud.

  • Documents Free: the free version of Office Mobile App

In this application we can not only create documents but also the way to create spreadsheets is included. Even if it does not have an extraordinary design or many functions to show off. Its weak point is design clearly, since it's just a screen and we have to write with a few formatting tools, nothing more. But the very very strong point for Documents Free is the synchronization with other documents on the iPad, through iTunes, by Wifi, by email, Dropbox and syncing with Google documents.

  • Documents 2 Free: More synchronizations with other documents and better design

Has a design very similar to the previous one since they are from the same company, but, different characteristics. The functions are the same, but a design based on blues and blacks. As they are from the same company, the strengths are more the design and synchronization which is the same and the weakest point in this case is the advertising, but that can be solved by paying € 3,59.

Personal opinion

As you can see in the App Store we have everything and more. In this case we have shown you 3 text editors. For the synchronization I prefer Documents Free, the design with Pages and the functionalities as well. Surely there are many more but these are the ones I use most often, but having Pages ...

Are there any missing? Your opinion? Also has!

For my taste, textilus is the best word processor, at least for taking notes in class. It has a customizable bar where you can add the characters you use the most and thus speed up writing. It also has sync with dropbox, mail, etc.

I'm going to download it to see how it goes. I will test it for a few weeks and if it happens, I will make a Reviw. Thanks for recommending it!

Hello, I download pages and work with it. But suddenly he writes me in blue and the keyboard does not work well. And this is the correct color in black. Help, help.
