As we said, the CNMC, the National Markets and Competition Commission, has just started in Spain a procedure for anti-competition practices in the sectors of online sales of electronic products and the provision of marketing services to third-party retailers through online platforms. Namely, The CNMC goes against Amazon for its pricing policy in its market, and against Apple for the prices of the App Store and the commissions that the company enters. They go further, Apple and Amazon have agreements between companies so that Apple products are sold on Amazon, sales that are made without competition control and this is what they want to solve.
An announcement, that of the investigation, which nevertheless does not take into account what the completion of the investigation will be like. It will take 18 months and can rule in favor of the companies or against them and therefore apply competition sanctions. We will see what this is all about, more and more organizations are applying the magnifying glass to companies like Apple.
