The deception of applications to watch TV on the iPad

tv ios7

The App Store is a great money-making machine, a few days ago we told you the news of the arrival of 10 billion dollars in sales in the App Store, a figure that continues to be exceeded. And it is still a new business model, a model that Apple created with its App Store and then ended up copying its competitors. But the problem comes with 'unethical' practices to earn income ...

Yes it is true that all the applications that are published in the App Store have passed some controls and reviews, but there are some developers who know how to position their applications among the best sellers with false ratings, and false content. This has been happening for a long time with applications that offer us the possibility of watching TV on our iDevices, in addition to (as they say) offering payment channels on our device ...

other apps

It is very common to see how in the days before a football match of great interest such as Real Madrid - Barcelona, applications begin to appear in the App Store (in the top 10 paid) they offer us the game for free, only paying the € 0,89 or € 4 that the application would cost us. But they are actually applications that link to pirate servers in which to watch the game, and are servers that end up being banned by pay television operators.

In the end we were left without being able to watch the game and without what we have spent on the application. Case apart is offering us to see any DTT channel, channels that they get through the internet and that they charge us to see (the price of the application). And they are channels that you can see through Safari or through the official applications of television operators (Atresmedia Player, Mi Tele, RTVE ...) so you do not need to spend anything to see this type of content.

scores

I acknowledge having acquired any of these applications at some point, but then I have seen how they were losing all their channels when broadcasting them illegally. Obviously you can claim the money from Apple since they are applications that work with illegal content.

Applications that achieve a lot of fame by having false comments and ratings (as you can see in the previous screenshot), accidentally 5-star ratings in which no criticism of the application is provided. This makes the app appear among the most valued and thus is known by all users of the App Store.

I do not write this to incriminate anyone, I am writing this because we do not have to allow this type of App's to continue to appear, you should not buy them, they will not offer you anything new and if they offer you pay channels, you have to know that these will no longer be available as soon as they are banned by pay television operators (I will not go into the pricing ethics of these operators).

I hope that Apple will put the batteries to avoid these types of applications, If you have fallen into any of it you should know that you can always claim what you have spent.

As you say, almost all of us have bought an app with illegal content that turns out to be a hoax, but I think it is very hypocritical for us to claim something or even complain. We buy a pirate app that is stealing and then we complain that we have been stolen!

Actually we may know (some), but not everyone has to know that what they are buying has illegal content, because if it is something that is published in the AppStore it should have legal content.
I am not talking about my particular case but I want to report the fact that applications with this content are advertised for the sole purpose of profit, since they are rising in the top ten with false scores and comments.

Totally agree with what has been written, it is difficult not to say mission impossible to see any game of a great team live.

I recommend the YO.TV application to watch public channels from all over the world, as long as they are open.

I assure you that these App's when they are launched they do link to pay TV content for a while, until they are banned.
And it is not difficult to find advertising in the characteristics of the applications that give us to think that we can see paid games for € 0,99, there is the problem ...

However, there are others such as "live media player", which are free, and the links do not disappear, since it is the users themselves who share links so they are constantly renewed.
You just have to look for the channel by giving the magnifying glass.

It seems ironic that you do this article when these apps are advertised on this page, as you can see above on the right. But hey, everyone does what they want with their money so good luck to everyone and watch the channels jeeeeeeeee

We do not advertise anything, it is simply a blog widget in which we show the top ten applications from the App Store.
