According to the MacRumors website, the Cupertino company already has everything ready to launch the electrocardiogram function in the new Apple Watch Series 4. In this case it is something already officially announced by Apple, but we were not clear on the moment or the version that would add the function and apparently will arrive in watchOS 5.1.2.
The good thing about this is that the version of watchOS 5.1.2 already has quite advanced beta versions and it seems that the ECG release deadlines will finally be met before the end of the year as announced in the keynote of presentation of the watch. Now with this leak it seems that this ECG is closer than ever.
Exclusive to the United States at its official launch
Obviously this function is restricted for users of the new Apple Watch Series 4 and for now it will only be officially launched in the United States, but it would not take long to reach the rest of the countries. By contrast, some rumors and news that we have seen a few days ago explain that simply with the change of region on the clock we could use it anywhere as it is a hardware component and this cannot be physically limited.
The lack of certifications is what limits the launch of this functionality globally, in the case of the United States the guys from Cupertino have received FDA approval, and therefore they simply had to update the software and that's it. Well, this is what seems to be about to happen and is that the new functionality will be available with the next version of Apple Watch. On the other hand, the same document that MacRumors has had access to warns of the arrival of irregular heart rate notifications in watchOS 5.1.2 for Series 1 models onwards.
Hopefully it will not take long to launch the new version 5.1.2 that has been in beta versions since last November 7, with the official version we will see if this ECG measurement really works in all countries with the simple change of region on the watch.
Thanks for the post!
Hopefully, for underdeveloped countries, just by changing the region.
In the last paragraph you have VETA instead of BETA.
Big hug.
Good!
errata corrected, thank you very much!
Surely simply changing the region works you will see
