The Google Calendar application is now compatible with the iPad

On many occasions, I personally do not quite understand why some developers only release an iPhone version that is not compatible with the iPad. Today in the App Store we can find many applications of this type. Fortunately, over time the developers realize the mistake they have made and you usually adapt them so that they are also compatible with the Apple tablet. What I do understand perfectly is that some applications compatible with the iPad are not available on the iPhone, obviously due to the horizontal user interface. The last application that is already compatible with the iPad is Google Calendar, the application that allows us to manage our calendars.

Google Calendar for iPad offers us the same user interface that we can find on the iPhone, so users who are used to using the iPhone version will have no problem getting it quickly. But despite looking like a simple adaptation, in the application notes Google claims that it has redesigned the application by optimizing it for operation on the iPad.

It also integrates with Spotlight so that when we perform a search on the device, the calendar appointments that contain the search criteria will also appear. In addition, a widget has been included for the Notification Center that it will allow us to quickly see future events from the lock screen. Google Calendar is available for download for free through the link that I leave below.

Google Calendar not only supports Google Calendar, but also allows us to view Exchange and iCloud calendars. Although the interface and options are very basic, it may be a good alternative for users who have grown tired of the native iOS application.
