The latest rumor related to this model indicates that Apple plans to renew it next March and do so, this time, with a new design that offers a larger screen size, reaching 8.4 inches by reducing the frames. It is likely that with this reduction of frames, the fingerprint sensor goes to the side as with the new iPad Air 2020, although unlikely.
Once again, like the previous article, the source of this rumor comes from the Japanese medium Macotakara, based on information sourced from Apple's supply chains. Larger iPad mini
Technology has come a long way in recent years, so an iPad like the mini, with its gigantic edges, has long since ceased to make sense. Ming-Chi Kuo claimed a few months ago that Apple was working on an 8.5 to 9-inch model of the iPad mini, a model that would be launched during the first half of 2021.
Kuo offered no further details, except that Apple's idea was to make it cheaper than the current model, with the most powerful processor possible. The iPad mini that is currently on the market, was renewed in March 2019, is managed by the A12 Bionic processor and part of the 449 euros for the Wi-Fi version with 64 GB of storage. A version with 256 GB is also available for 619 euros.
