And it is that the Apple speaker has revealed to us that the iPhone 8 cameras will be able to record in 4K quality at 60fps, both the front and the rear, which would be a considerable advance taking into account the current specifications. And not only that, but there will be a special function called "SmartCam" (smart camera) that will choose the best camera mode based on the situation and the subject you are focusing on.
4K recording is available right now on the rear camera of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus at 30fps, while the front camera "only" allows FullHD recordings at 1080p. According to the code extracted from the HomePod firmware, both cameras on the iPhone 8 will be able to record in 4K quality at 60fps. Why would we want a front camera with that recording quality? Maybe Augmented Reality how fashionable it has become since Apple introduced ARKit is to blame for it. What we do not know is the quality of the front camera when capturing photographs, but the jump can also be considerable.
