The Last Jedi comes to iTunes, but without the offer on the other Star Wars movies

The Last Jedi

I didn't love episode VIII, but after episodes I, II, III I was cured of horror. So, as a good fan, the other day I entered "Movies”On my Apple TV to search for The Last Jedi.

Right now it is on pre-sale in Spain. You can buy it now for € 13,99 (high definition) and enjoy it on April 6, if there are no setbacks. In other countries, like the United States, the film seems to be already available. In a novelty you do not expect an offer, and the price of € 13,99 is the usual one in the films of the Star Wars saga on iTunes.

But, reading the description of the film and, above all, because it said "Ask for it today and more", I noticed the Star Wars movies were on sale. At least the “more” of “Order it now and more” refers to the following “promotion”:

"After two long years of waiting, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the second part of the latest trilogy of the most famous intergalactic saga of all time, hits the big screen. Get ready for the event of the year with this selection of games, music and books. What's more, we bring you all the Star Wars movies at a special price, for a limited time. "

Apart from errors such as that it is not an intergalactic saga (understandable error since in Spain it has the wrong title of Star Wars when there is only one galaxy), what is striking is the last sentence that offers us a opportunity to get the movies at a better price for a limited time.

This is very common. I myself have bought some of the films for € 7,99, so the news of an offer is not news per se, the news is that that offer does not exist. Movies from episodes I to VIII are at € 13,99 (same usual price as always) and the full collection of episodes I to VI is at € 64,99 (regular price without offers). The only Star Wars movie (if we consider it as such), would be Rogue One: A Star Wars story, for € 9,99.

Star Wars prices

Then, Where is the offer? Although the offer phrase appears on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac, I have not been able to find the special price anywhere.

I have contacted iTunes Support and they have told me that the offer is that (that is, the usual price) and that they understand that the offer is not what I expected. A politically correct phrase to say that the offer does not exist as such.

As well I have confirmed the historical prices for the single films and the collection of the first episodes and it is the usual price. I do not know if it has been a mistake, if it is only a way to encourage us to buy, or if they are waiting for the launch and not for the pre-sale to lower the price of "all other films for a limited time"

The truth is that I waited for the launch of The Last Jedi to acquire three films that I have left of the saga, but it seems that I'll stay with the desire.
