The Law of Supply and Demand in the App Store- Planet of the Apps VI

Part I | Part II | Part III | Part IV | Part V

How do you get money from applications? There are two options: either making users pay for the service or inserting advertising in them. Still, they do not get millions of euros from one day to the next: not all applications are successful and there are thousands of them in the App Store, so they are sometimes difficult for customers to locate.

The recommended method of putting an application up for sale is to do it with a low price, since the statistics show that those are the applications most downloaded. That is why there are many developers (who are the ones who indicate the price of the product) who finally decide to lower prices to have more buyers.

For example, a Puma application to attract more downloads, presents girls taking off or putting clothes on depending on the sales result in the market.

We return to texthog and its developers. After 8 weeks of programming and design, they test the application together. Two of the people in charge of developing the project go to a restaurant, where they place an order: they indicate the concept, the amount it cost (with the calculator) and add a photo of the ticket. The application works perfectly and quickly.

The next publication will be the last part of the documentary.
