If you are reading this article, in addition to having a mobile device, there are many possibilities that you use your device mainly to run applications. When you are not using the applications because you are browsing, it is almost certain that if you have an iOS device you are using the Apple Safari browser, according to the study carried out by the Flurry company among users of iOS and Android mobile devices in U.S.
The average daily time spent using the mobile device, has been increased to two hours and 42 minutes between January of March of this year. In the same period of time, but just a year ago, the average daily use time of our mobile device was less, two hours and 38 minutes.
Of the two hours and 42 minutes a day, the 86% of the time is using apps, compared to 14% reserved for the use of navigation through the device.
Within 86%, games account for 32% of the total while Facebook (including Instagram) ranks second with 17% (it's no surprise that most people access Facebook through their mobile device). Twitter, on the other hand, only occupies 1,5% of that time. The rest of the pie is distributed between social messaging applications with 9,5%, YouTube with 4%, 8% which corresponds mainly to those used from our mobile device.
14% of the daily time Americans use on mobile, they spend it browsing the web. Of that 14%, 50% use Safari, Apple's browser, to navigate, while Google's browser, Chrome, is used by 34% of users. Currently in the United States, the iPhone has a market share of 42%, hence these figures for the use of the Safari browser.
