The alternative instant messaging application Telegram, which we already offered you 15 reasons to leave WhatsApp for Telegram, has an important virtue and that is is regularly updated adding new functions and features. I think I remember that the latest WhatsApp update was two months after the new iPhone 6 models with the larger screen appeared on the market.
Among the news that the application received at the beginning of the month, we found the possibility of sending files, of whatever type, with a maximum of 1,6 GB, in addition to offering us the possibility of temporarily silencing conversations. In the last update it has brought us many more news such as a photo editor and the possibility of protecting our application using Touch ID or by means of a PIN code.
What's new in version 2.9.3 of Telegram
- Lock your app with an additional PIN or select a longer password to encrypt your data locally with the app.
- Use Touch ID to enter the application.
- Block the application manually from the chat screen or we can activate the application lock after a period of inactivity.
- With the new photo editor, we can automatically crop, rotate, blur and enhance our photos before sharing.
- We can also modify the contrast, lighting, sharpness ...
While it is true that WhatsApp has had a very simple photo editor for quite some time (it only allows us to rotate and crop the images) prior to sending images, which if it does not have is a protection by code or Touch ID of our conversations. Those most jealous of their privacy will surely receive this new update with open arms and perhaps it is one of the reasons that it lacked to be able to make the jump from WhatsApp to TelegramAlthough, as we have already said on several occasions, if our contacts are not changed, there is little we can do.
I see that telegram is going to incorporate voip calls before WhatsApp
