The number of users testing the iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS betas exceeds all expectations the company had

Many with users that every time Apple released a new version of iOS, they went to the Internet to be able to find a developer profile that would allow you to install the first beta of the next version of iOS and thus be able to enjoy all the new functions that Apple had announced. After the final version was released, most users removed the developer profile and installed regular updates.

But since Apple announced the creation of the public beta program, in which any user could install the iOS and macOS betas on their devices, later tvOS, no need for a developer accountMany have been the users who have joined this program, thus avoiding the risks of installing user profiles who do not know anything, with the risk that this entails.

In the last conference in which the company announced the financial results corresponding to the last quarter of the company, Tim Cook announced the number of users that today are part of the beta program, either from the developers or the public beta program, with which Apple allows any user to install the first versions of iOS and macOS on their terminals: 4 million.

Apple created this program so that the users themselves collaborate in the development of new versions of iOS, macOS and tvOS, in order to speed up the launch process and for the final version to reach the market with as few bugs as possible.

For now, and while Apple still does not put on sale the cable that gives access to the data port of the Apple Watch, the company will continue to limit the installation of watchOS to developers, so they can test the operation of their applications via device and not only through the emulator that Apple makes available to users.

Good: maybe because iOS 12 is rather iOS 11.5

That is precisely why I have dared to install it 🙂

    All the best

There is always risk. I've been testing the betas since iOS 7 and nothing has ever happened to me that I remember.
